Whilst Frostbite Engine 2.0 is an incredible piece of technology, Battlefield 3 being a Modern War FPS lacks an original Art Direction.
It'd be good for Nintendo to gain a stronger hardcore gamer audience, with the Wii dragging behind majorly in the Shooter Genre, the new console could help balance the focus.
The Black Ops Campaign blatently stole from the likes of masterpieces such as "The Deer Hunter" with its Russian Roulette scene and this seems to be doing the same with the Horror franchise...
Kane & Lynch will prove benefitial for IO though. Whilst reviews for the games were mixed, theres no denying that IO managed more than any other developers in the past few years to make gamers feel genuinly disturbed regarding the topic of brutality and death. The story and underlying psychological implications were great and some of IO's finest work. And, whilst the combat has nothing in competition to the likes of Gears of War, it beats the combat in the Hitman franchise hands down....
They more than likely will.
I'm Very much looking forward to seeing some of Street Fighters much loved characters transformed into the naturalistic art style of Tekken, I wonder how Baraka will look. Fans of th fighting genre have be begging for this epic crossover for years and both titles will mor than likely deliver, I look forward to seeing more from both titles...
Hitman V (or Absolution) will no doubt be a fantastic game. With it being the first solely Next-Gen Hitman title the capabilities for the franchises have risen. Graphically the game can look stunning and more so gritty than previous titles, your surroundings more naturalistic. And gameplay-wise, the AI will see a huge improvement. The only major problem with the franchise at the moment is the weak combat when you're discovered, with enemies standing still and aimlessly shooting. Through t...
I don't see why people disagree with you, whilst Modern Warfare 2 was a slight step forward in the graphical departments, Black Ops was a step back.
The gameplay has hardly evolved and the graphics were almost exactly like those seen in Call of Duty 4. Normally Graphics matter not to me, but when a sequel hardly progress' in the gameplay department, you atleast expect strong progression in the tech department.
The top picture is taken from Call of Duty 4 an...
I'm intrigued to see what will happen with this title. Back in 2010 46 Members of Infinity Ward walked out, making the majority of the team new. Sledgehammer are new to both the franchise and the games Industry and Raven Software are also on board with development of the title.
And, of course, Battlefield 3 has shown its glorious face and is already recieving critical acclaim.
Sledgehammer have already stated that they wish Modern Warfare 3 to be a 95+ Scoring game, but ...
Brink looks fantastic, and I for one can't wait for it's release. It's a somewhat sophisticated Team Fortress with fantastic Customisation. I can see this title having a strong community following.
Congratulations to those involved. I was busy on the Gears of War 3 Beta...
It'll be good to see the back of the pointless constant teasing. If they weren't going to announce the game for months, focus on developing the game rather than hyping it up. Bethesda were correct with their approach to Elder Scrolls V, focus on the Development for a few years THEN announce the game. Don't pointlessly tease it.
Regardless, I'm very much looking forward to the announcement. Warhawk was a very good title and I'm sure the next title will b...
I'm sick of reading your, "OMG, SONY, DAY 1, Gief me!" comments. The Playstation has some fantastic Developers, but quit assuming the good developers end outside of the PS3...
A great, very much deserving of a sequel, game. I myself wrote a Blog Post about the rumoured sequel...
You musn't have played Gears of War 2 then...
The Snow effects for an RPG of such Epic Scale looked Fantastic. I can't wait for more footage at E3...
Having been playing the Beta since April 18h I can firmly say its the greatest game I've ever played. I hope those new to the Beta enjoy...
Epic didn't release Gears of War 2 for PC du to them feeling it would be a betrayal for those of whom bought an Xbox 360 specifically for the franchise. The chances of Gears of War 3 coming to the PC are indredibley slim.
The first soley next-gen Hitman title. I am ripe with anticipation for this title. I'm hoping that experience developing the Kane & Lynch franchise can help with crafting a better combat system for tight spots. Smarter AI and graphics are a must also. This game will be no doubt fantastic, but the previous titles main flaw was the unrealistic combat in troublesome situations and at times dumb AI. I can't wait for E3...
DICE have stated they're aiming for "Semi-realism" (I'll try and find the interview). I understand where you're coming from, but I find visuals to be better when offering a different perspective, an original art style. Naturalistic Graphics are briliant, yes, but without something fresh to support them, they become somewhat tedious...
